As you’ve probably noticed, my Instagram has been flooded with pictures from my spring break trip to Negril, Jamaica. We stayed at Beaches, Negril for the week and let me tell you – I LOVE this place! This was my second time to stay at this resort, and I am counting down the days until I can go back some day. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
Here’s one of my favorite parts- When you arrive at the resort, you are greeted by staff offering you cool towels and a cold drink. I mean, talk about luxury. This year, we arrived at the resort around 2pm. If you ever decide to go, I would definitely recommend this as we felt like we gained a whole extra day of beach time and relaxation!
Now onto the food. I seriously feel like I gained about 50 pounds this week. If only every day life eating was all inclusive… The resort features a variety of restaurants, which like I said earlier, are all included. One of my personal favorites was Soy (an amazing sushi restaurant). The “crispy philly roll” is TO-DIE-FOR. It is actually a fried sushi roll stuffed with cream cheese, avocado and other delicious things. Some other restaurants on the resort grounds are | Kimonos: Hibachi style Japanese | The Venetian: Elegant Italian dining | The Mill: Huge buffet with a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner | Stewfish: Oceanfront dining for breakfast and dinner (the steak and lobster combo was the best thing I ate on the entire trip!!) | Dino’s Pizza: Beach-side, brick oven pizza. For dessert, or breakfast if you’re feelin’ it, Cafe de Paris is the bomb. They make crepes, frappuccinos with ice cream in them, and have a variety of freshly baked goods. There are a couple more restaurants, but these were my favorites.
Negril is famous for its 7-mile beach. You guys…I am not kidding when I say it is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The water is so clear and so blue, and the sand is so fluffy. It stretches for miles in both directions and is truly so beautiful.
Check out these beach views… can it get any better?
On our last day, we headed out on an afternoon catamaran cruise. We snorkeled, saw sting rays, and watched the cliff jumpers at Rick’s Cafe. The cruise lasted about 3 hours, and ended with a beautiful Jamaican sunset.
Out of everything, what makes this place great, is the people. The Jamaican people are some of the kindest, friendliest and most enjoyable people to be around! When I have been here, I feel so relaxed and truly forget about all of my responsibilities back home. This place is the definition of peace and relaxation. If you are thinking about going on a Caribbean vacation soon, you should really consider going to Jamaica! You will not regret it!
